The challenge of meeting this requirement in small, cost-effective, target-oriented embedded systems lies at the heart of the stzedn (Steinbeis Transfer Center for Embedded Design and Networking). The Duale Hochschule is a tertiary education establishment which combines academic teaching with practical vocational training. The aim of the center is to transfer existing, implemented technologies and to modify them to suit the specific requirements of embedded systems.

The stzedn, in the role of consulting engineers, offers services and products for developing microelectronic systems. The special nature of its work results from the combination of different disciplines, which overlap in many ways. The thematic focal point is the use of standard technologies to network embedded systems.
